thanks to es, liam/song, adil for very timely and helpful feedback! i had no prior drawing experience (or equipment… this was all done on https://sketchpad.app/ in a browser). and here are my drafts from throughout the week, early iterations were truly horrendous
i was recently made aware of https://therumpus.net/2011/04/21/dear-sugar-the-rumpus-advice-column-71-the-ghost-ship-that-didnt-carry-us/ (h/t caragay) which reminds me of this piece as well. the Positive way to think about this is
